This garden is designed to mimic this hierarchical structure with dozens of local woody plants including Lauraceae, Moraceae, Fagaceae, Leguminosae, Rubiaceae, and Rosaceae. We would like to draw your attention to Moraceae of which berries are a primary food source for birds while Fagaceae and Lauraceae seeds are and important food source for rodents such as squirrels. Though man-made, this garden aims to mimic the flora strata in nature to depict the importance of biodiversity.
