Regarding Zingiberaceae, the first impression is the edible ginger in cooking. Yes, that ginger is part of Zingiberaceae family. This family is a taxon of aroma perennial herbs with creeping horizontal or tuberous rhizomes. This ginger family in Taiwan is specified in Alpinia genes, there are varieties of lower elevation Alpinia plants in this Garden, and also there are some species from aboard or the horticulture which enrich this Garden’s exhibition.
